Who is responsible
Mion is the trading name of Kristians Lukass Kulbergs, a self-employed trader (saimnieciskās darbības veicējs) registered with the Latvian State Revenue Service (VID). Registered address: Raņķa dambis 34, Riga, LV-1048, Latvia. Contact: mion@mion.lv.
Enquiries sent through this site
When you send the questionnaire, Mion receives your answers and the email address or phone number you give, in order to answer your enquiry. The lawful basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and Article 6(1)(f), the legitimate interest in answering business enquiries. Giving an email address or a phone number is voluntary; without one, Mion cannot answer. Enquiries are kept for up to two years unless they become work.
If Mion wrote to your company
Mion holds the company's name and registration number, its website, the business email address it published, for a Latvian company the name of its board member, whether that address exists, and the date and outcome of any letter. These come from public business registers and the company's own website. The lawful basis is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, the legitimate interest in offering Mion's services to businesses.
A company that says no is kept on a do-not-contact list, so that it is never written to again. Everything else is deleted twelve months after a letter was sent, or twelve months after it was collected if no letter was sent. Replies are kept under the same rule as enquiries.
Server logs
The server keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, for 14 days, to keep the site running and secure. The lawful basis is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
Who receives data
Mion's hosting provider in the European Union, its content delivery network and its email provider in the United States, and, for letters, an email address verification service in the European Union. Each works under written data processing terms. Transfers to the United States rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses; you can ask for a copy at the address above.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data Mion holds about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask for processing to be restricted, or ask to receive the data you gave in a machine-readable file. Write to mion@mion.lv and you will get an answer within one month. No decision about anyone is made automatically. You can complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (dvi.gov.lv) or to the authority in your own EU or EEA country.
Your right to object
Where Mion relies on a legitimate interest, you can object at any time by writing to mion@mion.lv. For letters offering Mion's services, a no is always final. For anything else, Mion stops unless there is a compelling legitimate ground to continue.
